I haven't done any winter mods on my Softie since I bought it 4 years ago. It pretty much had everything done to it already when I got it. The only thing I've done is change out the cam bearing, and up the jet size in the carby. I pretty much love this bike the way it is. Tomorow it is suppose to warm up to 57 deg., so I am going for a ride.
Paint done, all parts except front fender back in place, new Wild1 575's, all chrome lines and cables, painted inner fairing, chrome fork sliders, chrome cow bells, forecast 68 and sunny Friday and Saturday. I'm outta here, first ride since October, man I'm ready.
Done!! but its still in the kitchen. supposed to be 60 saturday here, might get her out if the roads aren't too crappy.
17" todds cycle strip bars
burly 16" cable kit
3.5" chubby risers
2" tank lift (home built and powder coated)
1.75" lowering blocks
chrome hand control buttons
chrome front master cylinder cover
chrome/black Avon air cushion grips
larger rear brake lever in chrome
chrome 4"round taillight with billet cover, has vertical grooves machined into it.
installed battery tender
chrome kuryakyn
zombie levers
zombie passenger pegs
large iso pegs with stirups(for driver)
longhorn shifter peg
I over engineered a horizontal side mount for my plate and taillight. had it powdercoated
shaved re radius rear fender including additional trimming to accommodate the lowering kit.
sikkens paint job. tank and both fenders in java black pearl.
I think thats all but I might have forgot something.
I made great progress but not done yet. I put up a white board with all the projects and it has 60% erased off.
I have two Cobra programmers to install, a set of tires, three Xied's to install, preload spacers for the Dyna, finish sanding a fender project and port and rejet the Ural.
Once that is done nothing more will need to be done to the bikes. Really, I am finished with what I will do to them. Absolutely. I can't think of any more to do.
I blew all my extra cash the first year I got my bike. Only mod I did this year was adding the digital speedo/analog tach combo. I'm itching to try it out if we'd get a few good rains to wash the salt away.
all the mods are back and ready to be installed. prob will have the bike back together early next week. bring on spring!!! so glad the blizzard we were to get yesterday was nothing.. Lets Ride!!!

Almost done. Waiting for a PCV from Fuel Moto and that will do it. So far mostly cosmetic stuff. Seat mod from Mean City Cycles, HD shift linkage cover, HD round nostalga air cleaner cover, new battery, Brukus saddlebag secures, about $800 worth, which is more than my wife says she can afford. LOL! Suppose to be 65 degrees here Saturday so I guess I better take them both out for a RIDE!!
