I don't have a newer bike with the speedo that has a hundred functions but I'm assuming the newer ones have a clock of some type built into them and he is wanting to use that one. At least that's the impression I get from reading his original post.
Maybe he'll come back on here and clarify it.
The clocks on the newer one is in the odometer. Just digits. You have to push button a few times to get it to show up. I thought he wanted to put an analogue clock movement in, in place of the speedo.
The speedos I've seen are solid state sealed units that have hardly any moving parts other than the needle. Not like the old cable driven speedos.
Sorry guys I had forgot to check back on this post. I was hoping to get the digital clock to work and hang it on a wall but that seems like it would be nearly impossible. I didn't really think about making it into an analog clock. Thanks for the input.
