I bought a 2005 Harley Davidson Sportster XL883 Custonm and it cam with a Radial Sweep Back Exhaust System. How do I tell who's exhaust system it is? It looks a lot like a Bassani Radial Chrome system and I want to add heat shields to it. I am so short, 5"6" and every time I stop and put down my right leg my jeans get so hot they burn me when I put my foot back on the forward mounted brake control.

Naw doesn't suck, just get the jeans hot ;-) If I could figure out who made them, I am hoping to find matching heat shields. Melted the last pair of wind pants I wore though. Any guesses? My next move is to ride it over the nearest Harley shop and see if anyone in the parts dept knows.

Several suppliers carry universal shields. You should be able to fit something. Kurt

Well I order a set of Bassani Chrome Radial Heat Shields, and they ae sitting at the house waiting on me thanks to Dennis Kirk shipping. Soooo I will see how well my photo comparing was in just a few hours. Three day weekend coming on, and should have some riding time to test the shields. 
Well they fit perfectly after I went to the auto parts store and bought some exhaust clamps since this kit was missing the 7 clamps they provide. Keeps my leg warm, but not hot enough to burn me anymore, a great fix and they look good. Pictures to follow.
