Has anyone thought about making some valve stem cap hangers!!
Hilarious!
I liken the gas cap hanger ideato that of my wife always telling me that we need to go out and get a fancy box to store our Christmas wreaths. What the hell's wrong withthe way I've been storing them for the past...oh......25 years?Atrash bag!
Obviously people have done and will continue to do it (drive off without their gas cap). But I can't, for the life of me, imagine riding off with that big ol' empty tank HOLE staring me right in the face? A vehicle, maybe. But a bike?
I have been using one since 04 and never left a cap at the station and never droped the cap. Hangs on front brake cable. I don't see a way it could scratch my paint. It is made of spring stainless steel and I don=t think it can go in my tank.
Does putting it in your pocket and then spending two hours looking for it count.
I do stupid **** like that all the time and it's not getting better.
I think it would be in my better interest to get one of those.
Should be easy to make.
Tha twould be a "senior moment", you'll fine they happen more frequently as you age.
Not to hijack this thread but man I hate that grinnin frog on your sig, for some reason it weirds me out.
Not a scam. Sounds like a guy trying a new idea. Over the years I've left gas caps behind from almost every car I've owned. I even cut the "idiot cord" on two and then like an "idiot" left them on the pump. I just hold it as I pump now, after all it's only a couple gallons, not 45 like my Suburban.
Hey Mightywarlock, Used mine today. I think your hanger is great. It can't scratch the paint, fall off in the tank or anything else people are worried about. Can't believe the crap you've caught over a good idea.
