Looking at the aiming instructions that came with the lights.
Fog lamp beam ( 4+5 ) area doesn't look anything like what shows in the pic. With the headlight and either of the P.lamps covered up, i can easily adjust the height but the beam-width goes way past what shows in the instructions. Only way i can think of making it look like that, is by moving the bike closer to the wall, instead of the 25 feet it calls for.
Can somebody help out?
Here is the socket i made up to loosen the 9/16 nut for the P-Lamp

Aligning the centers is another issue if i don't know where the center is. The beam goes way past the wall, the garage door is on. Should i but a strip of masking tape on the lamp's center? Would the tape's shadow indicate the center properly?

They most likely just used the same instructions from the regular bulbs...
If you move the bike closer, the distance changes. I would have tried marking the center as you stated, before asking somebody. If you can't get it close enough, take it to the dealer?
