50!! Holy **** thats old! Only kiddin' I will be there soon enough and honestly, I can't wait. I will be making more money and getting closer to retirement and more seat time.
Just wanted to bust your *** a little, Happy Birthday and enjoy every minute of it..
Great wife for posting this thread. She obviously loves you very much.
I turned 50 last month. Don't feel any different than when I was 49, well except for the fact that I bought myself a street Bob.
It's all in your mind. The body gets old but I'm still a kid at heart.
Turned 50 this past Dec. 10th. No big deal. My party consisted of our 3(out of 4)kids who live in area, their spouses and all the grandkids going to a bowling alley on Sunday afternoon and having a great time. 50 is not so bad. And having an Electra Glide Classic is great.
Have him remember the words of my brother-in-law when I was ragging him a few years back about turning 40:
"Hell, man. I've done so much stuff, I should have been dead at 20. So being 40 just means I've lived 2 lifetimes and every day is extra time."
well, what a suprise, that i got on tonight only to find that my wife let everyone know that i was turning 50. it sucks, but that the way it is. thanks to all for the well wishes, and even the ******* lol
Hey you youngun's 50 ain't bad, I was 50 once. I'm 56 now, retired from the job. Got a retirement BONUS, went out and blew most of it on my Fatboy. It wasn't brand new, but it only had 1200 miles on it. It looked better that the new ones on the floor. After looking at mine, those looked stripped. There's nothing like everyday being like Saturday, having your bike, and the wife is at work. Now if the weather would get better........
Texfatboy, Turning fiftybeats the alternative of taking a dirt nap. Sounds like you have a very considerate wife there. That makes the birthdays tolerable and so does the bike. Just keep ridin and don't worry about the years pilin up! I am turning 55 this year and waiting to go from a Fatboy to an Ultra Classic this spring. That scares me. But plenty of ridin time in retirement.
