I can't stand it any longer. I'm picking up my new RKC tomorrow. It'll be a 75 mile ride in mid 40's temps with 25 mph winds but I'm ready to get my bike. I don't have any chaps or riding gear yet so I guess jeans and long johns will have to do.

Hope ya do OK. 40 degrees isn't that bad, but chaps WOULD help. We can get them for $50-80 around here at flea markets. You MUST have some good gloves. You'll know in 10 miles if they are or not. I used to live out there and 12 MPH winds were constsant. Hopefully the wind will be on your back. Keep your legs away from the tank! On a lot of older bikes (and crotch rockets) you tuck in, but if your legs touch the tank for long, it will rub the clearcoat off. I learned that the hard way.
Ride safe and watch out for tornados
