I guess things are different in belgium. in the us you can't block a person driveway/garage entrance. if you do, bad things happen, well at least around here they would.

I'm with the camp that suggests backing into the garage. Then the front wheel comes out first and can turn down the side walk.

I agree with Torch - I'd shorten the wall on the right side.

I agree with Sauceman. That could be very expensive.

Install a "No Parking" sign on the sidewalk. Better yet, buy a fire hydrant and stand it in front of your garage.

Then, if someone does park there, have their car towed. Problem solved!

I agree that it could get expensive.
Maybe flipping the door to open on the side of the house and make it larger??

I respectfully disagree, i park my bike in a 10x20 shed, with the door in the center of the narrow end. I built a small porch across the narrow end, with a ramp facing the door, and another off to the side. I drive up the ramp, straight into the shed. When backing out, i start cutting the wheel as soon as possible, and along with leaning the bike over to make it turn sharper, i have no problem, with only one back-and-forth motion, making the turn onto the porch. Now my bike is sitting cross-ways on the porch (same as in the op's sketch if he backed out onto the sidewalk), and i drive off the ramp on the side (same as if the op drove off down the sidewalk). I've backed the bike out onto the porch to give her a bath or whatever, and i CANNOT get it back in. It simply will not turn as sharp going forwards as it will going backwards.

This (or the dolly idea) is probably the best and least expensive idea, by far!!!!

Yes, that harbor freight dolly works great. I've wanted to build one for awhile, and if i did, I'd use a piece of heavy channel-iron (no flex), and weld the caster mounts off to the side and positioned higher, instead of just mounting the casters underneath, in order to keep the bike as low as possible. Also, two non-swiveling casters in the center, shimmed up to maker them lower than the end (swiveling) casters...

Actually, I'm not sure if i should really be disagreeing with you or the others, zuess; I think my unique situation has me skewed. OP Neilsds, if he NEVER can get the cars that are blocking his garaged moved, HAS to back it in and pull it out, or pull it in and back it out, period. So either way he's gonna have problems with going forward and trying to turn. Dolly!
