It is a good point. I've had tons of blood work lately, and I don't have diabetes. But I DO have neuropathy (it could explain why a burn cold slowly happen without me noticing it), but it's worse in the opposite foot.

Actually, she already knows I need new pipes. Even she noticed the 2011 is much hotter than the 2006 is just from riding on the back. She didn't even flinch when I told her I was going to get new head pipes in a month or two. But a guy can never have enough ammo....
With your boots I would think there would be some sign of a burn on them, especially if it got hot enough to burn your skin underneath. After all, leather is skin.
Between us.....the bike did not cause the burn. Now, between you and the wife it definitely is time to get new pipes. My 2011 RGU gets hot but has not burned me. But......my RGU is not your RGU.
