I have decided to purchase an 07 Street Bob and the first thing I want to do is upgrade the pipes. Two questions:
1) Should I order the parts myself and save some $? Some people I've spoke with said it is very easy to do and they saved major bucks. I'm looking for a slip on system. Replying with a few reputable sites would be appreciated.
2) How will something like this effect my factory warranty?
You need no knowledge, or mechanical ability to change out the mufflers. I know because I have no knowledge and have done it a couple of times. Are you planning on changing the air flow? If so you need to look into a SERT or PC111.
Shop around to get the best price on pipes and put em on yourself. If you can turn a wrench, you can do slip ons.Ebay is a good place to start looking.I saved over $130 on a full set of V+H Straightshots by using Ebay.
