Lost a rider in Springfield, MO this week. 67 year old man riding his Sportster... minding his own business when a 20 year old girl pulled out in front of him. Hit her in the drivers door and died.

Please ride safe. They're everywhere.

Something I'm always watching for, but the reality is there's always the chance of it happening too quickly.

NO SUCH THING AS MINDING YOUR OWN BUSINESS!

My brother (61 years old) just started riding a couple of weeks ago and this is probably my biggest fear for him. Everyone is out to get you! Doesn't matter how old you are or how long you've been riding. These moments are sad indeed. As you said, please ride safe. They're everywhere.

Amen.....ride like your life depends on how you ride, because it does.

That sucks! Very sad way to go.

Any word on who she was texting when it happened? I can't be the only one to think she wasn't "just driving". Did she get a ticket? Slap on the wrist? Anything?

Ever notice how many parents put their teenage and 20's girls in SUV's to drive? They are such bad drivers, the parents want to wrap them up in as much steel as they can to protect them ............. at everyone else's expense

No word on that. Just that alcohol was not a factor.
