Uh, I had several Corvettes and they would not lay rubber. Takes some doing to get the computer into full track mode to get passed all the nanny traction and stability controls. So I don't buy that part. Combine that with a coolant hose going which is rare adds to the improbability that the thread has any veracity.
If this is really true. I would have done the same thing. Left her and went on.
You cant tell me she did not have a cell phone. Would not be surprised if that was not her car either. I remember this saying, if it's too good to be true...............
Like the story, bet everyone would have a different end twist to there story given the same set up. I was told by a guy that he was working late in the office in the corner of a lock up garage unit with the main lights off. He was sorting out some paper work and he heard a noise at the doors. The doors were timber and were held shut by a lock and chain that passed through a small hole and a large hole so he could drag the lock to the inside when he was working late. When he got to the door with the lights out he could see a hand reaching through the hole. What do you think he did ? Well he grabed the hand in a hand shake and let it go. I think the guy was telling the truth why would he make it up.
