The pic below is a previous bike that I had. It went through too many improper washes.

The left side is prior to polishing, the right side is after one pass of machine polish.

I am not that ****...the bike is made to be ridden. If they can damage my bike with soap and water, I need a different bike.

Problem is the gals will drop a wet rag or sponge on the ground, pick it up with embedded grit and then wipe (scratch) paint. Owners don't notice because they're staring at T&A.

Exactly
I'll gladly watch the bikini girls wash bikes...just not mine.

I'D just as soon watch the bikini wash someone elses bike. I have
seen some of the places (Daytona) hire the same girls over-and-over...
and they know what they are doing...but I can't justify the cost.

I never would allow them to reuse the rag or the water that they've used on the last guy's bike, or the one before, or before him, etc.

I suspect too many improper washes.
Black is a revealing color and Harley clear is relatively soft.
This was pretty easy to correct.

NEVER. I don't even let dealership detail guys do the bikes after service. Just me and or the wife.
