I like my Nolan too. Comfortable and has a one hand release which I like.

I have the HJC modular. I bought it specifically for long interstate trips. I love the convenience of the flip up feature. I get a little claustrophobic in full face helmets, so the modular option is nice.

I wear a Shoei 3/4 in winter now.
For my next one I'm going to try the Shark EvoLine

I have SHOEI Multi-Tec for use during inclimate weather or during days when it is just too cold for riding with my 3/4 helmet.

Most comfortable helmet I tried on. That said, I would suggest you try on (for 20 minutes minimum, each) a number of different helmets to ensure you find the helmet that is comfortable and will not be an annoying, head-hurting PITA that you won't want to wear.

I spent about 3-1/2 hours at Performance Cycle in Denver, all of which was putting a helmet on and wandering around for 20 - 30 minutes before changing to the next 'possibility.'

I pretty much knew that I would end up with the Multi-Tec just from the standpoint that it was the most expensive and that seems to be the way my life goes (LMAO).

Good luck!

ha...I feel your pain, thats the way it goes with me too. I tried several 3/4's and really didn't want to spend the money on the Shoei, but I ended up with it because it fit best.

Shoei Multitech is my favorite.
Sure it's expensive...... but my head deserves it!

I have the HJC Symax II with the flip down sun visor. I bought it for long trips on the slab and for the rain. Used it on a long trip a few months ago and it worked GREAT in both of those situations.

I have a Multitech as well. My only complaint has to do with fogging at low speeds. The shield vent is okay, but there is really no internals to aid in keeping your breath down away from the shield. At least at low speeds behind my windshield of my Ultra...

Other than that, I have no issues with it. Have done lots of miles with it. I did look at all other helmets (the Caberg was awesome but couldn't get one due to distribution), but after a bit of research (mostly dealing with Shoei's latching mechanism), I landed on the Multitech.
