HJC CL-Max has been good to me and the wife especially in extreme weather. Wife wears hers year round and really likes it. Modular option is great especially if you wear prescription glasses.
I hate wearing a full face helmet but when it's cold I force myself to wear my HJC CL-Max modular. Unfortunately, I bought it a couple months before the Symax II with the flip down sun visor came out.
I like the ability to flip up the bottom when I'm stopped or getting warm.
Been using one for a while, great for cold weather and for folks that wear glasses. Nice to pull up to a light and flip ot up to keep cool. Have a HFC, cant remember what model though.
I have the zeus black modular. I wear it when it's raining or cold. By cold I mean single digits in centegrade or below 0, that would be less than about 45F.
I had a Nolan N102. Confortable, a little on the heavy side, and a little noisy too. But a nice helmet...
I had a Zeus 608 too. Good, but not on par with the more expensive ones.
I'm saving to buy the Shoei too, best fit and finish!
The Shoei Multitech got only 3 stars on the SHARP testing: http://sharp.direct.gov.uk/
Or maybe the Shark Evoline, interesting concept.
Am on my second Nolan 103; crashed hard in the first one and walked; was all the endorsement I needed....having said that; I rode w/o a helmet at Sturgis this year and enjoyed the feeling for a while in the heat, but wore a 3/4 there and back. The modular I wear in cooler/poorer weather; actually bought it to ride an R1200RT in Italy (worked fine there)...still mostly wear the 3/4 primarily 'cause of weight. I guess crashing didn't teach me anything except I'm thankfull I survived without major grief.
Man; this is an old post!!
I have the HJC Symax II with the flip down sun visor. I bought it for long trips on the slab and for the rain. Used it on a long trip a few months ago and it worked GREAT in both of those situations.
+1, I use this helmet all the time! I also carry different shields for day/night riding and they are really easy to swap out...
I have a Nolan and I like it alot but I saw that Shark at the dealer this last spring and I have been lusting for it ever since. It was so sweet, but at over 400 bucks its a hard trigger to pull. Maybe when the Nolan wears out....

I fiddled with a Shark at a dealership. On the one I tested the latching mechanism seemed flimsy and not to be working properly. Perhaps it had been abused as a floor model, but I was unimpressed.
