Peroxide to take the bugs off, I have a spray bottle that I fill with car wash soap, spray it down, give it a quick wipe with a wash mitt , then hose off, then I use a cycle dryer, and get rid of any water spots with lucas slick mist.

90% of the time its lemon pledge and microfiber on all shinny surfaces, including windshield.
10% its car wash with a microfiber mitt & S-100 (with the help of a small shaving brush) on the nooks and crannies followed with a airforce blaster

I have a pump sprayer that I put a strong diluted solution of Simple Green and water. The wand allows me to easily get the cleaning solution into all the nooks and crannies and up inside the fender wells. I cover the AC with a bread bag and secure it w/a wrap of masking tape. Aver application of the simple green, I let it soak just a bit then rinse with clean water from the hose. I'll use a leaf blower to knock most of the water off and then windex the chrome to get rid of water spots and lemon pledge on the tins, although I have heard that the new formula for LP doesn't work as well.

For those of you who say you use a spray detailer between washes, what do you do about the 6000 splattered bug carcasses all over the front end? I feel like just trying to wipe that mess off without water would not go well. Did mine yesterday and used a 50/50 mix of water and peroxide to soften the bugs, then hosed off.
