Default Just got back from Milwaukee

Me and the wife went for a long anniversary weekend. Stayed at the Iron Horse Hotel. That place is freakin awesome if you can swing it sometime! Got there on a Thursday and attended bike night at The HD museum. 975 bikes and I won a set of HD sunglasses! Then the hotel which is in walking distance has their bike night. We went to the museum which was nice and took the Steel Toe Tour (engine plant tour) and that was AWESOME! Had a good time and thought I would share. Saw a lot of nice bikes and had a few cold ones along the way.
You guys that are going for the 110th are going to have a hell of a bike night on that Thursday!

Glad you had a great time! I missed bike night for the first time last week. I'll bet it was jammed, which is a good time. The Iron Horse is amazing, but like you said, spendy.

Did you get to see the city at all from the bike? Lake drive etc?

Yes we did head over to the lake front and went over to House of Harley. That place is HUGE!! Spent too much there...... then walked around and got something to eat at the fish/seafood place in the 3rd ward (or was it 3rd district). Either way pretty cool area. We sat outside at their tiki bar and had $1 Schlitz on draft! Didnt even know they still made that stuff.

edit - wrong dealer referenced by me

Third Ward is a great area. St Paul's Fish Market is great. Cheryl and I eat there a lot.

But did you get me a T-shirt, size XL?

I'd love to go and see it but unless I fly. Too far to drive or ride.

Glad you enjoyed Milwaukee. You only got to see a small piece of our small big city. Hope you can come back and visit again.

Great timing on reading your review! My g/f and I are riding there next May. She booked the Iron Horse as a belated bday present for me (bday is in April but that might be too cold to ride there and back). I lived in Milwaukee and the outskirts YEARS ago and haven't been back since 1989. Can't wait! Plan on doing the Steel Toe Tour also, thanks for the thumbs up.
