I was reading another thread about a fellow rider hit in the rear buy a girl distracted by her phone and it reminded me of something I saw that I thought I'd never see.
Last week, Friday I think, a guy passed me on an Ultra Classic. And, you guessed it, throttle in one hand, texting with the other. We were on the interstate, 70 mph, about 9am. LOTS of traffic.
At least he was holding the phone between his face and the windshield.
As much as I would like to believe we in uniform hold ourselves to a higher standard, things like this make me realize we have our share of idiots.
Amen to that. Not too long ago I got alongside some guy on a Dyna, had a girl on the back, no problem. But he was talking on a cell and smoking a cigarette. Not wanting to be within a mile of this moron, I didn't stick around long enough to see how he was doing with his multitasking.
