Question electrical issue

Hey Guys. I'm having an issue with the headlight on my Sporty. Its a77 and I had to practically rewire the whole bike since the last owner decided to butcher it. My problem is when I start it, the headlight will work just fine, but when I ride or even just rev it up a little, the lo-beam will dim right down to nothing. The hi-beam doesn't get effected at all. Just the lo-beam. Did I mess something up with the wiring or maybe weak regulator, battery? I usually ride with the hi-beam anyway but would like to get the issue fixed. Thanks.

Have you checked it with a volt meter to see if the voltage is really dropping or if the vibration is causing the element to fail?

You should have dual element bulb, this requires 3 wires, 1 for low beam, one for high beam and one for ground. Make sure they are in the correct order or you could be loosing ground which would cause it to seek ground thru the high beam element. That could cause the symptom you discribe as well.

This , it's easy to mix up the wires .
