Default FILTER WRAP WORTH IT?

I run a K&N air filter H-D 0700.Mine is exposed do people who run an exposed filter have a filter wrap.It is supposed to protect against rain and dust extending service intervals.K&N does not make a filter wrap for that specific filter, however they refered me to a place that would custom make one for my specific filter.Any opinions from people who run them pros and cons thx

Never heard of a filter wrap. Do they have a website? I have not a problem either...

It is like a nylon rain coat for your filter.

I run mine open and have never had any problems even in extended downpours.

Cheers!

I used to have a turbocharged bike. The turbo and open filter were located down low, near the left foot. Ina heavy rain, you could tell water was getting sucked in. I used a filter wrap when it was wet, and then it ran the same as on a dry day.

If I was running an open filter in the stock location, I would use a wrap.
