Sent a certified check to H-D finance on Friday via priority(2-3 day) mail and today is Tuesday and it still has not posted. Am I just not being patient enough?

Certified? By who? Are you talking Certified Mail? Priority Mail? Did you use Delivery or Signature Confirmation? The Post Office does their best to deliver Priority Mail in 2-3 days, but it's not guaranteed.

just because you sent it certified doesn't mean once it arrives they treat it any differently.... the only thing certified means is you have proof of reciept, including a date.

The USPS doesn't guarantee delivery dates even on Priority Mail. Some cities have a 2-3 day delivery. The only way to know if they received it, is delivery receipt, which is another cost.
When you have to have it there overnight, go UPS or Fedex
