That brings up another question. How would you feel about being required to take a motorcycle proficiency test at a certain age? Quite a few of us on here are either in 'that' age group, or rapidly approaching it. If they require cagers to do it, then it would become necessary for them to require that we do it as well.

Maybe it should be based on traffic accidents/ citations on a persons record.

Just remember the 'lug nut rule' when you encounter seniors in their Cadillacs & Buicks.

"He with the most lug nuts, wins"

This also applies when you're in your cage and there's an 18 wheeler beside you.

The best thing to do would have been to get out of his way immediately ... Speeding up just keeps you in front of him ... Move out of the way and live to ride another day!

Nope , the OL's grandfather had to take a complete drivers test ,the written , eye exam , and the driving part and passed it with flying colors . The old guy was 100 at the time . He drove weekly into town to do the shopping 15 miles one way on winding country roads , did this for longer than most been driving in here . Father in law is 87 and I'll sit passenger with him any day .

Some got it and keep it other's never had it from day one ..............

Exactly. As it was, OP let the guy f*ck up his day for a lot longer than he had to. Asshat behind you? Move over & let him by. There... problem solved.
