In '96 someone told him that Harley's hold their value and they are so hard to find and desirable that he'll get every penny back. He apparently never bothered to check that statement out.

I saw that ad this morning. It cracked me up, too. I think I was looking at it for about five minutes trying to make sense out of it, especially why he needed an engine rebuild after 10k miles.

Agreed the price is stupid high; definitely not the first when it comes to CL FS ads. However, conside this: wife wants the bike gone, dude lists it for silly price 'cause he does not want to sell (tells the wife that's what it's worth) and keeps riding in the meantime. Jusy saying...

Probably engine mods: big bore kit, screamin' eagle.....although you think he would have listed them...hmmmm.
