Default Good price for Ultra Limited ?

I am still trying to nail down my long-term goals with riding and what I want to accomplish. I like my Dyna, but my trip to Sturgis has me wanting to go out again on another cross-country trip as soon as time permits. I also believe my long-term goals will be touring in general, but I ride pretty much every day I can and start getting antsy if I can't ride. Storage is one of my prime considerations so I have been focusing on the touring line.

I have rode just about every bike they had available on three demo days this year at various dealers in my area. This weekend, I rented an Ultra Classic all day Saturday. I put about 300 miles on it total. It had all the bells and whistles -- ABS, stereo, etc..

After the demo, they were giving me the third degree about the ride. Did I like it? Do I want to buy one? etc..I told them the used bike prices they want are ridiculous and they took me over to the last remaining new Ultra on the floor, which happens to be a Limited in plain black.

He said I could get $1,000 off because I have a hog membership. I said no thanks. Take off another grand AND the delivery and setup fee and offer 0% financing and I might be interested. He scoffed and I just went away but the sales rep actually called me back this morning and said the finance guy said he would talk to me if I wanted to come back in.

So I went up and asked them what they wanted to discuss. He said he would offer me the bike for what I was asking and could get me a deal on financing and go as low as 2.0% if my credit is good. The total with Tax and Registration would be just a tad over $21K. They said they would give me $11,500 for my Dyna, which is already paid off. I said I want $12,500 as I put new wheels on it in the winter and also it has a stage I kit and engine guard, fog light etc. After haggling he said $12,000 even. They won't go any higher and that's that.

I think they really want to unload this as it is the last ultra and has been sitting their for at least a month. I think because it is plain black? I don't know. I put a $500 deposit down which is good for seven days and I have time to decide if I want it or not. I am going to try to come back again on the trade-in. He said a few new 2014 bikes will actually hit the floor from a delivery truck on Wednesday afternoon. They really seem desperate to clear out stock that's left.

It's been there a month, big deal. That's no big deal, most dealers own their bikes anyways.

Your acc don mean a thing to a dealer on trade i
Good luck

21K? the upgraded paint is only a grand more if I remember right... That's about a 7-8K savings. 2.0% is not bad either. Sounds like your close to a deal on the trade.
How bad do you want this Limited?
You're not gonna get one any cheaper....

You'll get the last air cooled Limited! The 2014 Limited has the new motor, and a new price of $25,899 for basic black.
