I have not ever seen the Kury flame grips in person. From the photo, it looks like they are similar to the ones in Harley's flame collection, which my wife has on her Lo. They were on it when we bought it.

A pair of Kury ISO grips is the first mod I make to every bike I have. Currently running them on both my Slim and my RK.

The rubber in the grip on the HD Flames is not as... spongy as the Kury ISO grips are, and that's where the vibration reduction comes from. I can tell the difference between the two grips - the ISO grips are a little more comfortable over the long haul, but the flames are a heck of a lot more comfortable than the stock grips.

What is more important to me is the throttle boss, which I absolutely love. Kury makes two versions of it now - the original, smaller tab size, and the wider one. I've run the narrow original one on a couple of bikes, and decided to try the wider one this time around. It's taken me a lot of time to get used to it - it's almost too big for my big paws. At some point, I may still swap it out for the smaller one.

I guess the bottom line is, I think the ISO will be slightly better based on an educated guess and experience with similar, but I also don't think it's enough to abandon style over the tiny bit of added comfort.

The wider one provides more leverage. And, for me, is more comfortable to use. Maybe you have it adjusted to high. ?

It's adjusted right (wrist slightly past neutral at cruising speed), even switched to the narrower tab one at the same location and it was way better for me. My hands are wide and I have a hard time fitting just on the grip where the tab isn't. I end up bumping it and giving it throttle when I don't want to as a result. I switched it back for the time being, because it's black, and the other grips I have (and throttle bosses to match) are chrome.

the ISO grips have a larger diameter, so they can sometimes be a problem for people with small hands

The black ISOs look a lot better IMO.
