Default Regular ISO grips vs Flame ISO grips - difference?

I'm looking into getting some new grips for my '05 Wide Glide. I don't necessarily dislike my current grips, but on longer rides (yes, I'm still a new rider) the stock ones begin to cramp my hand. After everything I've read, I'm between the Kury ISO (regular) and the ISO flame grips, each with the throttle boss.

My question: is there any difference other than the flame design on the ISO grips between the two (comfort, grip quality, etc.)? In a corny way I like how the flame can match the tank on the Wide Glide, but like others on here, I'll take the functionality over looks any day.

Any thoughts? Thanks guys!

Regular

Flame

Cosmetic difference only, I think. That is something you could call their customer service and ask, but from what I read, it's just the rubber that is cut to a different shape.

I have the flame grips on my FLD and love them. Very thick yet soft and comfortable. If you have big hands you'll love them.

I had the flames on my 2012 street glide and didnt like them. Took them off and put the kuryakan zombie grip on. Part #6295. I have those grips on both my flhx's. And have the iso grips on the deluxe. For me either grip is better than the flame......just didnt like it....but that is my 2 cents and to each his own.

Does it really make that much difference?

You might call Kuryakyn and speak to them if it is really that big of a deal to you.

Or you could buy a set of each and try them and the one you like, go with that one?

It seemed to make a dif to me....the iso grips are probably the most comfortable to me. Less sweat and less vibration. They are even nicer for that than my zombie grips, and way better than the flame grips. Then again to each his own.

I have never had the flame grips, but the ISO grips are designed for comfort, and deliver.

My gloves give me a little padding but if I was going to pick between the two gripes, I'd go with the "regular" ones, since I don't have any flames.

If you don't wear gloves, the flame grips will burn you.............
