I'm lookin for something to completely protect me from the elements. Dont need a breeze or air, just need to keep clear from the cold / rain! I dont really want a fairing, but I'm not against the idea. I'm sittin on a 883 Iron.
Yeah, I'm with the gear recommendation. Putting a windshield on your bike probably won't help much. I bought heated gear last year and rode throughout the winter - it was great! One thing to make sure of is that you have a plan B, if something happens. I was about 2 hours from home in 10 degree weather last winter when one of my gloves stopped heating. I was shocked at how fast I got cold and very uncomfortable. Gerbings repaired it free of charge (lifetime warranty), but I bought a second pair to keep on-board, just in case.
I do layers and a leather jacket, with a 3/4 helmet in the winter and no problems. Even in the teen to below zero, if you have enough layers, you'll be good. I also have a detatchable shield that cuts some of the wind. For your bottom, try long johns, a pair of wool pajama pants, then jeans over that. You won't feel any cold.
I agree with the gear suggestion. I have a set of Carhartt insulated bibs that really work great. I regularly ride in the low 20's when it's not icy or snowy.

I use Gerbings gloves (heated) and love em. Over pants with insulation are great. I have thought about a snowmobile helmet with insulated shield or heated shield for fogging, most are D.O.T.
Please explain why you would want to ride through the winter?
No car? I get that I suppose.
What to do when you are at work and it snows?
Black ice, plain ice, snow, salt. Too dangerous.
No fun for sure, not for me.
