Any of you guys pull a single wheel trailer? How about some info on them like how you like them and how do they pull compared to a regular 2 wheel trailer?
Thanks
JBA,
Not sure what you mean by single wheel. I can only think of single axle or tandem (dual) axle...2 and 4 wheels respectively. I pull a single axle 6x12 enclosed with dual rear swing doors as a work trailer. I am a tile setter and I keep almost all of my construction tools in the trailer. The floor is built up (an extra layer of 3/4" plywood), I have shelving for my tools built in the front and I am working on installing recessed D-rings to be able to haul my bike in it. The trailer tows just fine behind an '06F-150 4x4 with stock suspension. Having a single axle allows the trailer to pivot faster while backing up. I load the trailer and the truck bed with tile and underlayment and have no problems. I only wish I had gotten a trailer with brakes. Once I get all that weight rolling, it's hard to stop it. Hope this helps out.
I have a single axle 6x12 v-nose that I have hauled one and two bikes in with no problems. One bike to Yellowstone and back, and two bikes to North Carolina and back.
