Another option if you want a warm jacket, get one of the cotton/nylon jackets with the armor. I have one, it's essentially a ski jacket with all those features and armor in it. It beats every leather jacket I've ever worn for warmth. With the zip out liner in it, it's damn near as heavy as a spring leather jacket. It's got the HD logo on it, but i really like it and it's good to under 40 degrees.
(the reflective piping is dark grey when you're not pointing a light at it)
Do you have a link for this jacket? I didn't see it on the HD website.
I recently picked up the El Camino II jacket off the dealer's closeout rack for $225. It was too good a deal to turn down. The only logos are embossed on the buttons. Barely noticeable.
They make a subdued version of the one with the orange stripe and Harley Davidson letters on arms. I have the dayglo version in the picture. I also have the light weight jacket that has same orange stripe across chest.
My wife saved up to get the leather version and my mom bought me the lighter weight jacket. I like them. I got ran over on a bike in my twenties (as in ended up looking at the tranny pan). I am in my 50s and finally got back on.
They surprised me with them because they thought i could be seen from the space shuttle when I wore them on the bike. That may be true. I have seen others wearing the striped versions and it seems like the color jumps out a bit on the street. Could be I am just noticing they have the same jacket. I never had the other jackets to compare against but I wear these and they work good for me. They are expensive. Always hear good things about Fox Creek.

I received my FXRG last year as a "group" present. I didn't think I would ever spend that much money on a jacket but after wearing it for almost a year, I don't think I can say it again. High quality, comfortable and warm, very warm. Expensive, yes, but worth every penny "they" spent. . . . I also have an H.D. heavy nylon jacket that is very comfortable and warm as well (replaced the plastic zipper for a metal one, not the jackets fault, it was my expanded mid section!). Not many logos and the I like the reflective piping. I will try to support the local stores, wait for sales or ??% off events. If the stores go away, getting parts, service when/if needed and purchasing bikes will a lot more difficult. I sometimes have to scratch my head when I read about everyone demonizing the Motor Company for being in the business to stay in business so everyone can enjoy their products.
Found on another forum a link to a brand that offers american made leather jackets. Most of them are pilot jackets, but they have 2 Perfectos motorcycle jackets
