I do 40 and 40. Easy to remember. If it's off by 2, it's not the end of the world.

My 99 Softail Custom has the tire pressures marked on the right side front down tube sticker. I don't know if they still do that. I do run more pressure than they show and run pretty close to the pressure stamped on the tires. I got 17,000 miles out of my last set of Dunlop 402's running 38 to 40 in both front and rear.

Works on the BMW R and the OL Heritage, BUT the BOOK SAYS
