Getting ready to order tires for an 2008 SG and wanted to confirm tire size. Looking at the dunlop elite 3. Front MT90b-16(72H) for front, MU90b-16(78H) for rear? Not sure what the H number is for. Will this tire work on my bike?
I have been running the EIII's for a few years now because so many bragged on excellent traction in all conditions and tread wear life. While I agree with the traction the tread life I have not been very happy with but only the rear. I have lost track of how many miles I got out of my last front but it was in close to 20k.
I have however been reading excellent reviews on Michelin Commander II's. I just took a friends Ultra to have a rear put on a couple weeks ago (he works and I am laid off) and although his 407 was terribly cupped with 14k on it, the ride back to his place (plenty of twisties) was a very noticeable difference. Just something else for you to think about. Sorry I can't help you with the size but the Dunlop sizing confounds me as well.

Yep those are the sizes, on 5th rear and 3rd front. Little disappointed in front as only get about 20K vs 24K with stock dunlop but get 13-14K out of the rears vs 8-10K for the stock dunlop
