everything you ever wanted to know about tires.... (well Dunlop tires in any event)
Those are the sizes I have used on my '05 FLTR...
Generally got 12-14k on rear... 20-22k on front. I went and tried the Mich Commander II this time around... but with 2k on the bike, I have nothing to say (except they handle GREAT...will report more, afte about 10k)
The docs for my '08 Police Bike specify MT90B-16 Front & rear. I know some guys like the slightly wider MU, but I never saw any advantage to it. The last time my mechanic serviced the bike he ramarked about how well balanced and maneuverable it was. I don't think the wider tire would improve on that. Bottom line, I go with what Harley recommends and I recommend that you follow the specs in the manual.
