Yup, leave the battery in the bike, and just plug into a pigtail. Here's where I store my bike. Obviously unheated. Have had 4 bikes stored here over the last few years, and never had a problem in the spring. I'm in upstate PA.

I keep the battery in the bike with the Battery Tender connected 365 days. I never had any problems.

when it comes to the battery tender, we have 3 bikes and my tender has 2 leads so i have to rotate the leads and have not had any trouble doing so... the only problems we have had is the battery on the sporty went dead because we forgot to turn the key off and it fried the battery so i had to replace it, it wouldnt take a charge... keep the tender on the battery and you shouldnt have any trouble

That`s what a battery tender is made for, so you don`t have to unplug it. It quits charging when the battery is fully charged, and resumes the charge when the voltage begins to drop.

Okay. Nobody's said it yet, so I'm going to be the first. If you ride it, you won't have to put the battery on the charger or add a stabilizer to your tank.

Yes if you live where you can ride every day and the gas doesn't sit more than a week. The Ethanol gas goes bad much much quicker. I keep mine on the charger even during riding season.
