I used to mount and dismount my wide glide from the left, but now with my triglide I am mounting from the right because of how the forks lock..I know the wide glide also had the forks turned to the left to lock, but it seemed natural to mount from the left..noiw it feels natural to mount from the right.

Well i thought i knew everything and now i've learned something new. If that new prospect in the club mounts his bike from the right.........keep an eye on that guy. LOL
although the subject has been already been debated in numerous other past threads, what I learned from them, having always been mounting my bike from the left, that if I mount from the right putting my right foot on the bike' right peg and lifting myself up while swinging the left leg across to the left side , the bike doesn't tilt as I would have thought it would,
So now I mount from the right much more often, especially if the bike is loaded up like in my sig pic.
But I'm about 155lbs, can't guarantee the same result if somebody is much heavier....
