Must be a salesman at a dealership most of them think a used bike is worth as much or more than a new one.

Since I was bored and had a minute this morning, I sent the guy this message

2000 miles in 2years??? I ride that in 2 weeks! And for the same money as he is asking I can walk in to any dealership in the country, buy a NEW DYNA for full retail with everything that your friends bike has and more, including custom paint, wheels, seat, pipes, breather, 110cid (Harley rates by CID, NOT CC’s!) and ABS brakes. This listing even made it on to a couple of Harley forums, where you are both being LAUGHED AT.

Actually, I could by a new 2013 Streetglide for less than he is asking…

Tell your friend to dohis homework and try again.

NADA calls the bike asworth $8700.00.

This was his reply:

Well first of all No oneis laughing at me. But I am laughing at you. I am posting for an old man thatcan not do it for his self. He has cancer so he is unable to ride. No one askedhow often you ride. This is what he feels that the bike is worth. No one askedyou for your opinion. If you are not interested then move on. So maybe youshould try again. Thanks

Maybe a few more of us should try to help him realize that he's doing this "poor old man with cancer" a disservice by NOT telling him the truth of what the bike is worth...unless he has ulterior motives and doesn't want the bike to sell so he can low-ball the widow...

I would respond to post I see on the list. I hate it when someone lists' a BMW with V6. BMW never made a V6 it's an inline or straight 6. Pisses them off but oh well they shouldn't be so stupid.

who care what someone wants for a bike, It only takes one person with cash to talk him down a few grand and buys it. He still gets more then it's worth. And that **** happens all the time.

I am wondering why you felt it was necessary to begin your message by telling the seller how much you ride as compared to the mileage on the Dyna when you questioned the price of the bike. You might have gotten a less defensive response if you just advised him that the bike was a bit overpriced. Congratulations on riding a thousand miles a week though, I couldn't be more impressed.
