I just installed my WardsPartWerks FCS on my 120R to help with the heat. All I can say is that these fans work! After putting it on I went to NYC to rid in the veterans day parade this past Monday. These little fans pump the heat right off the cylinders. With the remote swtich they went on and off all by themselves. The install was stright forward and simple and the cost can not be beat. Finally the quality of the product is outstanding. If you are thinking of fans to cool your Harley I would give these serious consideration. I know my riding buddies are.
I surely love mines, and could easily see how effective they are by seeing how the head temp indicated by the powervision was dropping at a traffic light when I turned them on.
I installed the fans and started the bike. Temp inside my shop was 80*. I let it idle until the front cylinder temp was 300* and the EITMS had shut off the rear cylinder. I turned the fans on and the temp dropped withing 2-3 minutes to below the EITMS threshold (I don't remember the temp) and the rear cylinder started firing again.
I have a Power Vision now and the front cylinder generally stays around the 230* range in the summer. If I'm in a lot of stop and go traffic it will get up into the 250s. But that's still a lot cooler than before the fans and they're quiet. The only time I hear them is when I switch the ignition on and I'm waiting for the CEL to go out. The EITMS hasn't kicked in since August of last year.
