mine is almost on the ground....i have it attached to a ring on rear brake switch, right behind the kickstand bumper.

Right spot wrong spot, don't care. My Mom sent this to me when I first bought this bike almost 3 years ago. It's safe here, thats what I care about. Oh, I think they keep tigers away too, haven't seen any around.
