I bought a pair of teknic gloves a few years back, violator pro guantlet, heavy kevlar, armored knuckles (chrome) highest quality I have seen for the money. 1/2 price. List 140, paid 70. Good vendor. Gloves have held up well over the years, I would recommend highly.
I switched over to full finger gloves a few months ago. I ordered from Fox Creek. The short unlined deer skin gloves. Mine are for warm weather riding and they do the job. http://www.foxcreekleather.com/210.html

I had a pair of cortech with the armor on the back I loved...I seem to have misplaced them recently and I'm really bummed out. I bought a pair of Harley gloves and the fingers are too slim for me...They are cutting off circulation. I'll be out Glove shopping myself this weekend.
Defiantely consider getting 2 pairs..Light summer gloves and some heavier Gauntlet type gloves. The gauntletscan be light but maybe large enough so slop some liners under, nothing is more eyeopening then a cold wind going under your leather and right up your arm . Believe me just because it is looking like summer in winter those 48 degree mornings are sitll very chilly on that hands at70 mph!
For cooler weather I like Joe Rocket.
In the summer I like to wear motocross gloves, Fox or Thor, very comfy and cool.
If its real hot I wear cycling gloves, there just mx gloves without fingers.
She also has long fingernails which seem to go against the grain of wearing glovezs, but they sure do look good...She put holes in her non leather gloves with those nails. And then tried to say they were mine. LOL. I was like I think your nbails did that honey. I have had the same gauntlet gloves for about 7 or 8 years. they are olympia's and have held up great. I'll take her to the metric shop to try some on, and then to newenough.com. I am scared of having the armored kind as I am sure I will ahve to test them out on cars side mirrors and such...
My favs are Icon Pursuit gloves, armored and comfy as hell, there is a breakin period tho... They come in ventilated and smoth leather also. warm weather gloves for sure.
Scootergrrl - let me know what you come up with. It's hard to find nice gloves that accomodate long nails. My first day out riding I had to shorten mine cause the fingers of the gloves were too short & it was making my nailbeds hurt, and it was too cold to go without.
Anyway... Good luck on your search!
Oh, and you DO look really hot on that cover! Great pic, Hon.

Honestly, I don't know the names of any of the gloves I own (Three pair - Fingerless, full fingered non-isulated, full fingered insulated gauntlets) I live in Michigan, you need to have three pair for the seasons. I got them all at different swap meets. You can find some good gloves there if you stay off of the cheap tables. Good luck on your quest for the perfect gloves for you, it took me three years to get all three pair perfect for me
I'm partial to Olympia gloves. I have three pair, one summer, and two winter. The wife also has a summer pair. The summer pair's are vented leather with gel padding. The winter's are gauntlet, the difference being the length they go up past my wrist. I got them from www.newenough.com.
Itâs tough buying over the web, though. Different gloves fit differently, even from the same manufacturer. My winter gloves are the same style but I wear a large in one and a medium in the other.
