Hey guys...I asked this several days ago in the Dyna forum and haven't gotten any responses yet so I thought maybe this forum would get some more visibility.
I've got a Wide Glide with "T-Bars" that I'm considering installing a Windvest 16" tall riser-mount windscreen on, but I'm trying to find a measurement or two before taking the plunge next week.
What I'm looking for, is the approximate measurement from the bottom of the riser clamps to the bottom of a 16" tall Windvest windscreen at its lowest and highest adjustment.
I couldn't get a straight answer out of the sales guy at Windvest. Imagine that...all I got was a pitch on how great the product is...and several questions like "Should we get this on order for you?" I really hate sales-pushers like that.
O.K. From the bottom of the riser mount (not the handlebar mount) to the bottom edge of the sheild is 2.25" on my bike. My Windvest is adjusted to its lowest setting.
Thanks man...I just gotta wait till Monday and see what the tax man has to say. If all goes well, I'll more than likely end up with one. Even though I don't think it'll go as close to the headlight as I'd like. Then I suppose I'll have to get one of those tank lifts too.
Too much going on for now though...must...get...bike...together...soon!!!
