Just get used to the bike first and then take it easy. Enjoy.

I pulled a trailer behind my goldwing for many years, the hardest thing is forgetting the trailer is back there. As long as your trailer is loaded with a little tongue weight it will pull good. Only thing you might check out is your warrentee with Harley, my dealer said Harley has reps that travel the country looking for trailer hitches on bikes and will void your warrentee if they see one. A trailer is fun and you can carry alot of extra stuff, but not worth losing the warrentee.

The quickest way to void your warranty is to put on a hitch. If warranty does not concern you, go for it as you'll have plenty of power.

I towed a Bushtec Roadstar with my stock 2001 Ultra and it was great. I have a new 2007 Ultra and will be pulling the trailer with it next month when we head out ona 4 day trip to Arkansas. I'm looking forward to seeing how the 6-speed pulls. Reference Warranty: I think it depends on your dealer. A customer orienteddealer would still honor your warranty !!

I pulled a Bushtec with my 04 & 07 Ultras with no problems at all. Local dealer said he will try not to see the hitch. If the problem is something like the tranny then when the bike gets to the shop it should not have a hitch on it at that time.

make sure you run between 15-20# of tongue weight. no more than 20. any more than that and the steering gets too light.

Good Post... I am looking at a trailer to pull. I never thought about the tongue weight. I would have tried to minimize it.

I am fairly sure it won't void the warranty on my Shovel .
