Default charging system
last night when coming home the battery light and check engine light came on the voltage was down to 12 on the gauge went about 1/2 mile the battery light and check engine light went out looked at gauge it was up to 14 volts.I got home noticed the low beam light on the headlight was out, could the light burning out caused the charging system to fail ? 2012 street glide

Possibly the regulator going bad. There was a recall or product program on some regulators around that time. Have a dealer run the vin to see if your bike was one of the affected.

yea had the regulator replaced during the recall
