I've never been to the Maggie Valley museum, but had the pleasure of meeting Dale & seeing his collection when he was located in southern Illinois. I need to go check out the new place!
Yes, & it's possibly the coolest place I've ever been. Dale & Matt are great people, and are truly the most knowledgeable people when it comes to old bikes I have ever met. Every bike has a story, and they all start and run.
When my wife & I were there 2 years ago, Dale & Matt started up about 30 bikes for us, and Matt and his buddies even started up his race bike. Even though he was super busy as always, he stopped and talked to me for a good while, and so did Matt. They truly just love motorcycles and can and will talk about and work on them all day every day.
Dale's old shop was in Mt. Vernon, IL which is not too far from where I live now in Southern IL, but unfortunately I never got to see it. He also owned the Harley dealership there, which still carries his name "Dale's Harley Davidson".
The show on Velocity "What's in the Barn" is great too...I've seen all the episodes several times.
If you are ever close to Maggie Valley, you have to check it out. You will likely find it so fascinating that you will spend a good bit of, if not the entire day there.
