I use a Exigent cover for my bike when I am away from home.

some people buy a honda cover so nobody will mess with their bike

Covers are a good idea in places where the sun damages vehicles.
This is as far as I read and have to disagree. My Nelson Riggs is waterproof and breathable. Excellent value for the price.

I've had a Nelson Riggs cover since 2002. It's both waterproof and breathable. It's seen a lot of use and there was only once that the seat got wet and that was at Laconia in a friggin monsoon downpour that last for 4 hours. Nothing was dry that day.
When I cover the bike for the winter I put a bucket of 'Damp Rid' under the bike to absorb moisture. So far it's worked just fine for me.
