I have a J&S jack that is great, but I found myself needing another, and was about ready to order another J&S when I saw one at Lowe's, so since I've always had good luck with Kobalt tools and the two floor jacks I already have, I thought I'd give it a try.
Got it home, put it together, and since my son was there and would make great padding if something went wrong I figured "WTH" and went right to the Ultra.
The jack slid right under and lifted right up, just as stable as one could expect. It's rated for 1500lbs, but I didn't feel like getting up on it like you see in the J&S ads, but it was stable enough to do it. Pulled it across the garage with no problem as well.
And for $85.00 and another $35.00 for a kobalt rolling stool, it was a deal all the way around. I'm not ever going to leave any of my bikes up in the air if not around them so looks like I found a keeper.
I have one. I have an album with some pics of my Super Glide up on it. Its my first Kobalt tool of any kind but I am pretty happy with it.
I didn't stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night but I do a lot of the time. I let them pay for it with the points I get for staying with them. Real happy with that price!
It is , I gave that one to a buddy when I went to the dreaded yellow that everybody loves to hate , works great for me but I just use the jack to put bikes up on dolley's .
