A lot of folks will say don't buy a rental but I do not agree. I bought an '09 RKC with 35,000 miles. I put another 10,000 on it before I traded it in on a new bike. No problems whatsoever. The local Eagle Rider does a good job servicing the bikes.
I've been looking at the eagle rider site myself. Sometimes I wonder if those pictures of the bikes were taken when they were new. A lot of those pictures the bikes almost look new, really makes a person wonder.

Here's mine when I picked it up, that is Eagle Rider's building in the background.
It had just been serviced and had new tires, brakes, belt, etc., really nice condition.

I agree with you. I'd buy one, myself.
Some say "Oh, them bikes have been beat on!"
I think most people who would rent a (we'll use yours as an example) 2009 Harley RK is not the beat on a bike type. My guess would be they have an HD of their own, and rent while on vacation to enjoy their time.
