Congrats! I hope you don't end up sleeping in the garage with the bike.
When I bought my RK new, I just showed up with it and it was worth a week or so in the garage, then a week or so on the couch.
She didn't even blink when I brought home my Eglide so I think she is used to it. I'm sure if I did it with a new limited I would be back where I was with the RK, but it's worth it.
I like the detail work on that bike. It will look even better if you buy chrome flame floor boards, shift pegs, break pedal, grips (yes they make heated chrome flame), and highway pegs. Look there I just spent your first 1K. Now set that off with V&H big rounds, new head pipes, no cat all the way back a tuner, and open up that air cleaner. Your next 2K just that quick. Now put a set of mini apes with all that wire and the last 1k is spent.
Glad I could help you out today. That ought to get you a bed next to it out in the shop.
Congrats! I hope you don't end up sleeping in the garage with the bike.
The funny thing is, I didn't tell her I was getting this bike, but I spent a whole day of texting her to try and build support for the purchase. One road block led to another. I rejected phone calls claiming to be in a "meeting", for fear of a royal *** chewing. Finally, after six hours of cowering behind my desk I said, look here, I tried to work with you, I already bought the bike and we're not talking about it when I get home either. Surprisingly, she didn't say a word about it, all night. The longer the night went on, the more nervous I became. Then the next day she says, why didn't you just get this bike the first time? I looked at her and said, are you effing kidding me? You almost ripped my sack off the last time.. Anyhow, great ending for scary time in my life. Lmao.
