Default Flush mount gas cap

I'm looking at replacing the stock fuel cap and fuel gauge on my softail with a flush mount set, either the Kuryakin set or the HD set in black(part # 75014-06B). So far I like the HD version. Can anyone give me the benefit of their experience on this???

Thanks

Lotta guys have installed the HD flush mounts with great results, including me - makes the top of the tank look much better IMO. I've had mine on for a couple of years now with no issues. The blue LED gas gauge is cool, but accuracy is no better than the OEM unit - your mileage may vary. Install is mostly straightforward, though removing the gauge harness connector under the tank can be tricky.

O-Town, when you fill the tank is it tough seeing the gas level when the tank is nearly full? I guessed it would be and thats why I never installed one on my own bike.

After you unscrew the 'pop-up' gas cap and remove it from the tank, the filler neck is completely in view as normal.

Dealer had the same Wide Glide I owned and he installed the flush gas cap. Looked much cleaner than mine. The new bike has it stock and it makes the lines just flow. No difference when filling up as to what you can see.

I love it! Make sure you get the latest 'C' version, the early models have LED problems.

I've never had one but I remember the first time I saw it. I really like how it looked but I couldn't figure out how to open it up. I felt pretty stupid. Still, they look nice but I doubt I'll get one.

Very clean look. Fuel level on cap matches fuel level displayed on speedo. No issues with LEDs. When the cap is off, filler neck is in clear view.

By the way, where do you guys put the fuel cap when filling your tank?

I have the chrome HD ones on my Black RK Classic. Awesome clean look. No issues with LEDs or fuel level. Only 6000 miles though. LED display disappears when power is off. Looks like 2 chrome caps.
