I wouldn't have it attached to your brake lever, especially with how long it is. If it snags on anything, you're going to have a bad day!
Good point! That never crossed my mind. At the least, it may be constsntly applying a slight pressure to the brake at speed and heat up the pads and rotor to the point that they will be useless when needed.
