The thing is that he didn't ask for opions....or at least the way I read his thread. He was glad to finally get it. Likes the way it looks and how it hangs and where he got it from if anybody was interested.
Like I said maybe I missed something but didn't read where he's asking for anybody's opinion.

Re-read my second sentence. I should have added IMO. When you post something like this, you do so with the knowledge that you are inviting all kids of opinions from the peanut gallery. I didn't post one myself because I'm with you. Do what you want with your bike and your money.
Now days....for what I have been told....it's hangs off your bike....when riding down the road the whipping around motion gets people attention ....makes it easier for you to be seen....I have seen them on Bikes....and it does get your attention....unless the Idiot is Texting....then they don't see anything
If the bike it's self hasn't gotten someone's attention, what would make anyone think that a little piece of colored rope flapping in the breeze is gonna do that?

True, but, hopefully, they will realize that the people they get feedback from on this forum, especially on threads like this, are mostly not the same kind of people they will meet riding real Harleys in the real world.

Only illegal if they have the quick disconnect clasp that "real" get backs whips have. you can have one if it permanently attached and not by quick release.
