Check out http://www.uship.com/ !!! That's how I got my Harley shipped down here to Florida for the winter. Different shippers bid on the job and you get to check out each individuals ratings, etc. I was very pleased with the results !!!

If you've got a lot of time to wait for good quotes, uship might work. Careful there that you will get a bunch of quotes, from shippers with no cargo insurance.
They are cheaper, but if something happens, you are screwed.
I ended up using MotorcycleShippers, and I was very happy. They give you a tracking too.
Bike was in my doorway well before the estimated time.
The bike was strapped to a pallet, with a bunch of free space (granted by the pallet footprint) around it.
